Soccer Recap: Tallwood Takes a Loss

Tallwood lost against Ocean Lakes back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Tallwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Ocean Lakes are ranked 16th).

Aidan Huffman wasn't going to let Ocean Lakes walk away unscathed as he scored both of Tallwood's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Tallwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ocean Lakes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Tallwood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against First Colonial on the 25th. As for Ocean Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Kellam on the 25th.
