Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence Free State Firebirds.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-10.

Piper Fox paced Scott's offense, picking up five kills. Fox got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her seven assists. Lily Lightner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lawrence Free State, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Scott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Olathe North on the 30th. As for Lawrence Free State, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Gardner-Edgerton on the 30th.
