Volleyball Recap: Scott Falls Short Against Ranked Lawrence Free State

Scott faced Lawrence Free State in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Beavers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebirds. The Beavers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Piper Fox paced Scott's offense, picking up five kills. Fox got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her seven assists. Lily Lightner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lawrence Free State, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Scott has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Olathe North on the 30th. As for Lawrence Free State, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Bishop Carroll on the 30th.
