Van Horn and McCamey are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Badgers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Van Horn's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so McCamey's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Van Horn came up short against Wink and fell 44-36.

Despite their defeat, Van Horn saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kylie Sanchez, who posted 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Violet Garcia also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, McCamey came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-59 W against the Wildcats.

McCamey's win came from a few key players that Van Horn will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Amistee Urias, who earned 21 points and three steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Audrey Butler was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Van Horn's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for McCamey, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Van Horn came up short against McCamey in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-55. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Butler, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.
