Baseball Game Preview: Shawnee Mission West Vikings vs. Christ Prep Academy Patriots

The Shawnee Mission West Vikings will challenge the Christ Prep Academy Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Shawnee Mission West 2.2, Christ Prep Academy 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

At the plate, Christ Prep Academy got a massive performance out of Cade Elder, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Elder has posted over his last ten matchups. Will Hink was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Christ Prep Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kansas City East Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .000.

Christ Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Shawnee Mission West, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.
