Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Cosmos vs. Mount Anthony Patriots

Springfield hasn't had much luck against Mount Anthony recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Springfield Cosmos will welcome the Mount Anthony Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Springfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 68-56 win over Long Trail on Wednesday. The Cosmos haven't had any issues with Long Trail recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Mount Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brattleboro. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (57), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

The win got Springfield back to even at 8-8. As for Mount Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
