Edsel Ford lost to Fordson back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Thunderbirds' defense stepped up to hand the Tractors a 4-0 shutout. Maisy Gerlach was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Edsel Ford and bumps their season record up to 10-4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Fordson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Edsel Ford wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Grosse Pointe South on the 27th. Fordson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
