Softball Recap: Dripping Springs Comes Up Short

Dripping Springs was the 4-1 winner over Hebron when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Dripping Springs Tigers fell just short of the Hebron Hawks by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emma Phillips made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Keira Hector also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Dripping Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for Hebron, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Dripping Springs will take on Keller Central in a tournament on Friday. As for Hebron, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Abilene on the 27th.
