Softball Recap: Leto Drops Season-High Score on Blake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leto). Everything went their way against the Blake Yellow Jackets on Thursday as they made off with a 23-13 win. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 16-2 victory the Yellow Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Nadia Vega, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Joselyn Ruiz-Tavarez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Leto lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Leto's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Blake, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Leto wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 23-8 victory against Middleton on the 21st. As for Blake, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Lennard on the 19th.
