Baseball Recap: Basha Takes a Loss

Basha lost against O'Connor back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Basha fell just short of O'Connor by a score of 4-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Basha got a good showing from Tyler Jensen, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jensen also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Basha is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Basha saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Hamilton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double was Hamilton's first of the season.

Basha now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for O'Connor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basha will head out to face off against Casteel at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Casteel's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Basha's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for O'Connor, they will venture away from home to square off against Perry at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
