Baseball Recap: Atchison County Comes Up Short

Atchison County extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 6-16 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Jefferson County North Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 11th.

As for Jefferson County North, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-19-3. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Atchison County: they've now won three in a row.

For Jefferson County North's part, they got a big performance out of Brody VanDyke, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave VanDyke a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dawson Lindsay, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Atchison County beat Jefferson County North by a score of 12-6 later that day.
