Basketball Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 85-17 loss at the hands of the Clearwater Tornadoes. The Packers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-9.

Largo lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kennedi Robertson, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amel Wright, who had five points.

Clearwater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allevia Williams led the charge by putting up 17 points. Peyton Flournoy was another key player, earning 17 points.

Largo's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Clearwater, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Largo has already played their next game, a 53-17 loss against Clearwater Central Catholic on the 11th. As for Clearwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-45 defeat against Cardinal Mooney on the 14th.
