Soccer Recap: Centaurus Takes a Loss

After flying high against Niwot on Thursday, Centaurus came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Skyline Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Centaurus were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Skyline apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Centaurus' goal came courtesy of Sophie Neale, who's now up to 17 this season.

Centaurus now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Skyline, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centaurus will challenge rival Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Skyline is set to square off against their familiar foe Frederick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Skyline's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Frederick have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
