Softball Recap: Little Rock Southwest Sets Scoring Season-High Against Maumelle Charter

Little Rock Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 22-19 to the Maumelle Charter Falcons. On the bright side, the 19- run effort marked the Gryphons' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Aulana Dandredge made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 5-for-6 with four stolen bases, seven RBI, and four runs. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Jones, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Little Rock Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Maumelle Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Little Rock Southwest will welcome Jonesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricane have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.36 runs per game on average), something the Gryphons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Maumelle Charter, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Fountain Lake at 4:00 p.m.
