Basketball Recap: Laporte Takes a Loss

Laporte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 60-30 loss at the hands of the Pine River-Backus Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-39 back in January.

Laporte's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Pine River-Backus, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Coming up, Laporte will be playing at home against Blackduck at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Laporte is facing Blackduck at the right time seeing as Blackduck is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Pine River-Backus, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
