Volleyball Recap: Menomonee Falls Takes a Loss

Menomonee Falls's tournament run continued when they took on Appleton West on Saturday. The Phoenix fell just short of the Terrors by a score of 2-1. While the Phoenix didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Terrors 25-14 in the first set.

Menomonee Falls started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Their offense was headlined by Daniel Poulakos and Sam Barkimer, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Nate Kapp and his 11 assists. Waylan Hang controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Menomonee Falls now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Appleton West, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Menomonee Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Muskego on the 13th. As for Appleton West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Pewaukee on the 13th.
