Baseball Recap: Harding Academy Wildcats vs. Paris Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Harding Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Paris Eagles and snuck past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Harding Academy sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
For Paris' part, Dawson Nuiemier spent all 8.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Paris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Lensing, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
Harding Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Paris, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-16.
