Churubusco won the last time they faced Prairie Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.
Churubusco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 31-29, 25-21.
Churubusco found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Marks, who had nine digs and three aces.
Prairie Heights' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey DeLancey, who had ten assists and seven digs.
Churubusco's record now sits at 5-11. As for Prairie Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
