Basketball Game Preview: Biloxi Indians vs. Gulfport Admirals

The Biloxi Indians will head out to face off against the Gulfport Admirals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Biloxi made easy work of Ocean Springs and carried off a 51-29 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Gulfport won against Ocean Springs on Friday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Gulfport put the hurt on St. Martin with a sharp 60-35 victory. Given the Admirals' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Biloxi's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Gulfport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Biloxi came up short against Gulfport in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 63-55. Can Biloxi avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
