Strasburg came out on top against Madison County on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Rams took their contest against the Mountaineers 8-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Ryan Reynolds was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

In other pitching news, Peyton Dean looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Strasburg let Brayden Hough and Gavin Dellinger run wild. Hough got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Dellinger went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Strasburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.

Strasburg's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Madison County, they moved to 4-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strasburg will welcome Central Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Clarke County at 6:30 p.m. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
