Clewiston is 0-6 against Okeechobee since February of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Brahmans at 6:30 p.m. Clewiston has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Clewiston fell victim to Sebring and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Blue Streaks.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Okeechobee made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lake Placid on Monday. The Brahmans were the clear victors by a 23-12 margin over the Dragons. The result was nothing new for the Brahmans, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Charisma Micco was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Okeechobee got a massive performance out of Audra Friend, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. What's more, Friend posted three hits, the most she's had since back in February. Melaine Bonilla was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Okeechobee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .523. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Okeechobee now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Clewiston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Clewiston might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Okeechobee when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
