Basketball Game Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Lincoln Lions

The North Kingstown Skippers will venture away from home to face off against the Lincoln Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Central, who was ranked seventh at the time (North Kingstown was ranked 18th). North Kingstown fell 85-74 to Central on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (73), the Skippers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Lincoln posted their biggest victory since February 27, 2024 on Saturday. They put the hurt on Johnston with a sharp 67-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Lincoln has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for North Kingstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

North Kingstown came up short against Lincoln in their previous matchup on January 11th, falling 69-57. Can North Kingstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
