Basketball Recap: Oklahoma Union Find Success

Oklahoma Union posted their closest win since December 20, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over the Nowata Ironmen. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Ironmen last Friday, they had to take a 57-54 loss.

Oklahoma Union has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Nowata, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-4.

Oklahoma Union will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dewey at 7:30 p.m. As for Nowata, they will take on Ketchum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ketchum has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
