Soccer Game Preview: Williston Northampton vs. Choate Rosemary Hall School

The Williston Northampton Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Williston Northampton comes in on six and Choate Rosemary Hall School on seven.

Williston Northampton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Millbrook School. Considering Williston Northampton have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Choate Rosemary Hall School hadn't beaten Phillips Academy on the road since October 8, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Wild Boars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Big Blue, sneaking past 2-1. Given Choate Rosemary Hall School's advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked eighth in Connecticut, while Phillips Academy are ranked 59th in Massachusetts) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Williston Northampton's record now sits at 6-2. As for Choate Rosemary Hall School, their record is now 9-1.

Williston Northampton suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Choate Rosemary Hall School in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
