Softball Recap: Marion-Franklin's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Marion-Franklin finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to the Eastmoor Academy Warriors. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Marion-Franklin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Taylor, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Eastmoor Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Marion-Franklin and Eastmoor Academy will both be playing Africentric Early College the next time they take the field. The Red Devils will head out to face the Nubians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
