Softball Recap: Maurepas Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Independence on Thursday, Maurepas came back down to earth. The Wolves lost 12-1 to the Denham Springs Yellowjackets on Monday. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Maurepas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khloe Luquette, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Maurepas' defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Denham Springs, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.

Coming up, Maurepas will challenge Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denham Springs, they will square off against Cabrini at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crescents have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
