Volleyball Recap: Cozad Comes Up Short

Cozad lost against Broken Bow back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Haymakers fell 2-0 to the Indians.

While Cozad was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16.

Braelyn Malcom paced Cozad's offense, picking up 14 kills. Malcom got some help from Whitney Regelin and her 17 assists.

Cozad has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Broken Bow, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Cozad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against South Loup on the 9th. As for Broken Bow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Ogallala on the 9th.
