Football Recap: Pike Central Chargers vs. Tecumseh Braves

Pike Central won the last time they faced Tecumseh, and things went their way on Friday too. The Pike Central Chargers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tecumseh Braves 49-20 on the road. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Leading Pike Central to victory were Matthew Meadows and Grant Boyd. Meadows rushed for 95 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, while Boyd rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. With that strong performance, Meadows is now averaging an impressive 2.5 rushing touchdowns per game. Pike Central also got help from Carson Wiscaver, who showed off his sure hands for 109 receiving yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pike Central was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 444 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.

Pike Central is taking a road trip to square off against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tecumseh, they have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
