Baseball Game Preview: Eleanor McMain Mustangs vs. South Plaquemines Hurricanes

Eleanor McMain is 0-3 against South Plaquemines since February of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Mustangs will take on the Hurricanes at 12:00 p.m. Eleanor McMain has given up an average of 18.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eleanor McMain is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against McDonogh 35, falling 21-10.

Meanwhile, South Plaquemines lost 17-2 to Bonnabel on Thursday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Plaquemines saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khi Ancar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Juan St. Ann was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Eleanor McMain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for South Plaquemines, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Eleanor McMain couldn't quite finish off South Plaquemines in their previous meeting back in April of 2016 and fell 14-12. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
