Basketball Recap: Harding Skippers vs. St. John Fighting Herald
Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 50-20 loss at the hands of the St. John Fighting Herald. If the Skippers were looking for revenge after losing 63-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Despite the defeat, Harding had strong showings from Ella Adams, who posted seven points and five rebounds, and Jana Vale, who earned three points. Sam Dodd also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Even though they lost, Harding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Harding's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for St. John, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8.
Harding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 30-26 defeat against Lake Ridge Academy on the 15th. St. John has also already played their next contest, a 61-16 victory against Horizon Science Academy on the 15th.
