Carmel can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home last Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Mahopac. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 20-25, 25-17.
Meanwhile, John Jay made easy work of Suffern on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
John Jay never let Suffern on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 25-22.
John Jay can attribute much of their success to Lindsay Mcdonough, who had 13 digs, and Olivia Sangulin, who had three aces. That's the most aces Sangulin has posted since back in September.
