Basketball Recap: Makayla J Chism's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Joliet West over Joliet Central

Joliet West lost against Joliet Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Joliet West Tigers fell to the Joliet Central Steelmen 56-51. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joliet West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Makayla J Chism, who posted 15 points. Gabrielle Gavin was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Joliet West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Joliet Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-16 record.

Joliet West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-58 loss against Normal Community on the 1st. As for Joliet Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 win against Plainfield East on the 4th.
