Football Recap: Edison Chargers vs. Central Grizzlies

It's playoff time, and Edison had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Central Grizzlies by a score of 21-14 on Saturday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Chargers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Julius Gillick was his usual excellent self, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards. Jake Minter also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.

Edison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gavin Slaughter and Carson Schmidt.

Despite the defeat, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jelani Dippel threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns.
