Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Stephenville FAITH Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.

Stephenville FAITH's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brynlie Baker, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Baker a new career-high. Abigail Battenfield also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stephenville FAITH, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Cornerstone Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stephenville FAITH, they will take on Bluff Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
