Basketball Recap: Nacir Lewis Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

After losing to Pungo Christian Academy the last time they met, Ridgecroft decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ridgecroft Rams walked away with a 79-66 victory over the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders on Tuesday.

Ridgecroft got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nacir Lewis out in front who went 9 of 13 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. What's more, Lewis also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Antron Gray, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Ridgecroft's record now sits at 9-4. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Ridgecroft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-61 victory against Lawrence Academy on the 14th. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they will challenge Northeast Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
