Volleyball Recap: Stewartville Beats Mahtomedi for Their Fifth Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stewartville had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mahtomedi Zephyrs by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Leading Stewartville to victory were Abbie Langseth and Leah Hebl. Langseth had 20 assists and five digs, while Hebl had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most assists Hebl has posted since back in October.

Stewartville's victory bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Mahtomedi, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 21-8 record.

Stewartville has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Benilde-St. Margaret's on the 7th. Mahtomedi has also already played their next contest (against Grand Rapids), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
