Brayden Layman Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Lee's Summit got the W thanks in part to Brayden Layman playing the best football he has all season. Layman wasn't messing around, throwing for 220 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. The contest was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Lee's Summit, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Layman and Lee's Summit will head out to take on Staley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Liberty had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Wilhelm it was a similar story. When Wilhelm last faced the Blue Jays back in November of 2023, he threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
