Softball Game Preview: Pittsville Panthers vs. Rosholt Hornets

Pittsville is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Rosholt a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Pittsville Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Rosholt Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pittsville's offense. They came up short against Pacelli on Tuesday, falling 24-0.

Meanwhile, Rosholt lost 18-3 to Port Edwards on Monday.

Rosholt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sami Kaminski, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Pittsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Rosholt, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pittsville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Rosholt struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
