Baseball Recap: Prescott Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Prescott won the last time they faced Westview and things went their way on Friday too. The Badgers blew past the Knights 20-1. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Magnett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Tobin, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Prescott was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Prescott is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Westview, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Prescott will host Lee Williams at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westview, they are taking a road trip to face off against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
