Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael Warriors vs. Slidell Tigers

The St. Michael Warriors will square off against the Slidell Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, Slidell is headed out to face a Warriors team ready to give their home crowd a win. St. Michael fell just short of Dunham by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Slidell suffered their biggest loss since February 21, 2025 on Tuesday. They lost 12-4 to Live Oak. The Tigers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Slidell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JP Going, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
