Basketball Game Preview: Washington Warriors vs. Tea Titans

The Washington Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Tea Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Last Friday, everything went Washington's way against Roosevelt as Washington made off with a 67-47 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Rough Riders are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tea didn't have too much trouble with Yankton on Friday as they won 53-36. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Bucks/Gazelles: they've now won four in a row.

Washington pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Tea, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Washington took their win against Tea when the teams last played back in February of 2021 by a conclusive 68-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
