Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Flatirons Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Akron Rams by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The Bison's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Noah Evans made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. Braxton Kelley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Flatirons Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Akron, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.
