Softball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oxford Academy on Friday, Pioneer came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the Artesia Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Artesia, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pioneer is set to square off against their familiar foe Glenn on Friday. Meanwhile, Artesia will take on rival Oxford Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
