Baseball Recap: Elk City Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tuttle, Elk City was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the El Reno Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Elks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Jaxon McArthur was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Brent Murphy was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Elk City hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.
