Ennis lost against North Mesquite back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ennis Lions lost to the North Mesquite Stallions on the road by a 44-27 margin. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leading North Mesquite to victory were Christian Brooks and Chris Bendaw. Brooks dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards, while Bendaw posted 11 points. That's the most boards Brooks has posted since back in January. Marquel Mouton was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for North Mesquite, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Ennis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-37 loss against University on the 13th. As for North Mesquite, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 defeat against Richland on the 13th.
