Basketball Recap: North Idaho Christian Royals vs. Oaks Academy
North Idaho Christian was the 55-41 winner over Oaks Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The North Idaho Christian Royals were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 49-48 to Oaks Academy. While the Royals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Oaks Academy 14-6 in the first quarter.
Despite the defeat, North Idaho Christian had strong showings from Chelsey Cate, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards, and Belle Jordan, who went 7 for 16 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Cate is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Brotherton, who posted two points in addition to eight boards and six assists.
