The Watertown Goslings will square off against the Milton Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watertown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Watertown was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against DeForest on Tuesday. The Goslings blew past the Norskies 13-3. The Goslings haven't had any issues with the Norskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cali Craig made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ava Novotny was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Evelyn Rhodes was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Milton earned a 6-3 victory over Waunakee on Tuesday.

Milton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Watertown, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Watertown came up short against Milton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 7-4. Can the Goslings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
