Volleyball Recap: Richardson Comes Up Short

Richardson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Memorial Warriors. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in August of 2021.

Mackenzie Ratcliff paced Richardson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ratcliff got some help from Mariajose Cordero and her 11 assists. Cordero was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Richardson's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Memorial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Richardson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop Lynch on the 22nd. Memorial has also already played their next contest (against The Colony), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
