Football Recap: Maximus Fierro Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Glendora + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Alta Loma, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 31-24 victory over the Glendora Tartans on Friday. The Braves' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Alta Loma's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maximus Fierro, who threw for 259 yards and three TDs. Santiago Vasquez was Fierro's top target, picking up 130 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the defeat, Glendora saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aidan Yamazaki made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Alta Loma pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for Glendora, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Alta Loma will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Silverado at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Glendora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ayala at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
