Volleyball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Immanuel Christian was the 3-1 winner over Parkland when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Matadors by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carla Sousa-Travieso paced Immanuel Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Sousa-Travieso got some help from Lilia Ramirez and her 16 assists. Ramirez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Immanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkland, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Immanuel Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ysleta on the 14th. As for Parkland, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Bel Air on the 14th.
